Day Three - Stafford, VA to Washington, DC

DONE!  Well the ride is done, we completed approximately 250 miles in three days and raised $150,000 for C.O.PS and $80,000 for the ODMP. Thanks to all of the foks who supported me on this ride, without all of the generous donations this would not have been possible. We had approximately 400 riders who had supporters just like you guys. THANK YOU!!!

Day Three was another day of hills, but the end in Washington, DC was well worth all the sweat. The hills of Quantico are no joke for this coastal rider. The bridges here are nothing compared to the hills of Northern Virginia. I have attached a few more pictures. There is a picture with  part of the FLETC group, we have two survivors from Minnesota (Team Canada as we call them), and officers from Florida, Minnesota, Virginia, North Carolina and Georgia. Therer is a picture of the entire group of
400 riders lined up on the GW Parkway in Alexandria, Virginina.

Day Two

Day Two is done! we did 75 miles and it seemed like all the hills where up hill. The legs held up and iot is done. 185 miles in two days and about 50 or so miles tomorrow. We ride into DC and get to meet all the familes of the officers we are riding for. Our first stop is a memorial service for Prince William Police Officer Chris Yung, who was killed on 12-31-12 in a motorycle accident while he on duty. He was a member of LEU and had planned on riding with us this year. His brother, who is also a police officer is riding in honor. The servcie will be at Quantico at the Marine Corps Memorial.

I have attached a couple of pictures, please continue to pray for these families as they struggle with their losses.

(Approximately mile 90 of 100) The lady in the black t-shirt is the mother of Sgt Bobby Crapse, Sr , Bryan County Sheriff's Dept, Georgia, EOW 6-15-2012.
